Vermont was my home for 30 years raising a family and painting the never ending landscape. Six years ago I moved to Massachusetts to be closer to family continuing to paint rural and urban landscapes. I typically paint from my own photos never leaving home without my smart phone. I view the world as a series of adjacent and  intersecting shapes and values hoping to capture the light and darks in an interesting manner.  I've taken a number of workshops over the years. I enjoy pleinair painting working quickly to capture the light as it changes before my eyes,

Formerly from the Midwest, I earned an art degree from Iowa State University.  I am a signature member of the Vermont Watercolor Society, an associate member of the New England Watercolor Society and a member of the Franklin Art Association.
