Painting the Charles River

Diane Bell, a 30-year resident of Vermont, moved to Franklin, MA four years ago to be closer to family.

Diane's subjects of choice are rural and urban landscapes . " I typically paint from my own pictures, never leaving home without my smart phone. I view the world as a series of adjacent intersecting shapes and values hoping to capture the lights and darks in an interesting manner."  Diane also accepts commissions.

Formerly from the Midwest, Diane earned an art degree from Iowa State University and has taken many watercolor workshops over the years. She managed her own summer gallery in Vermont and exhibits and sells her work regularly throughout New England and beyond.

Diane is a signature member of the Vermont Watercolor Society, an associate member of the New England Watercolor Society and a member of the Franklin Art Association.
